Malaysia: Cameron Highlands - Hot springs in Kuala Woh
The second day in Cameron Highlands, we decided to sleep till late because we were exhausted from the trekking day the day before. Around 12h we went to the bus station. The bus was supposed to come at 13h and at 13h.. the bus didn't arrive... we still thinking what happened to that bus..
We became a bit disappointed because we wanted to go to the river for a swim and to see the hot springs and finally we decided to hitchhike. (In the end it was the fasted and the cheapest way)
It took us about 3 rides. The last one was a lost taxi driver that didn't know where we wanted to go but he accepted to bring us there for 20 ringgits (4,5 euros, 9S$ and the ride was more than 30km!). Next time he should know the area before accepting a job...
Finally we reached Kuala Woh, we were swimming and we enjoyed watching how locals of the nearby village (Tapah) were enjoying a family day out. It was a bit embarrassing because that place is not very popular for tourists and everyone was looking at us all the time.
The funny thing is that in order not to attract the attention of the locals we decided to swim with t-shirts and Agata even with shorts...
Coming back we were afraid that the bus would never arrive, and finally we were so lucky that a very nice guy from Malaysia took us back to Cameron Highlands. On the way he showed us some waterfalls and also told us many nice stories. We were very happy to have met him :)
